Some examples of my work as a level & environment designer:

Coast Station

An imposing structure built into rocky cliffs. The design guide was a future that never happened. There are familiar aspects but this world is different. Design is slightly retro, Nordic, evoking 20’s & 60’s modernism. The building needed to look worn and abandoned, but striking against the cold landscape.

Modular Construction & Optimisation

The level was created using modular construction pieces and a limited set of materials/textures. The skybridge illustrates how a complex structure can be built using components. Each bridge section includes parts from the this list. Some parts such as the handrails, are also build using the modular kit approach. This minimises the number of unique meshes in the level, improving performance. LODs and culling also improve this.
