I specialise in standards-based web development. This means designing websites and applications that work on as many browsers, operating systems and devices as possible. Completed sites are easy to use, quick to download, and require minimal work to update. Accessibility functions for disabled users are part of the design from the first stages, and can be customised for specific situations.
Web Applications & Content Management Systems
In recent years I've focused on complete systems which provide clients with both a public website and a private content management system (CMS). This allows staff to manage the content of the website day to day, without the need for specialist web design training.
I also create web applications for use on internal company networks. Examples of these include software and hardware management, domain name registration databases, departmental discussion boards and document management systems.
